40 Beauty Questions Tag

Hey Lovelies, today I thought it would be fun to switch it up and do a tag post. I went over on Twitter and asked what you'd like to see for this weeks post and the winning idea was the 40 Beauty Questions Tag! So, here it is...a little insight into my beauty routine and beauty-related favorites!

Skincare

How many times do you wash your face daily?
For the most part, I like to wash my face twice a day. In the morning once I wake up and right before I go to bed because I'm not about to go lie on my pillow with all the possible oils that can accumulate throughout the day still on my face. You need to keep your skin fresh and glowing hunty and the only way to do that is by washing your face two times a day and keeping up a good routine.
What skin type do you have?
My skin type is normal/combination skin.
What is your current facial wash?
Currently, I switch it up between using the Neutrogena facial cleansing formula and the Clean and Clear Morning Burst facial cleanser.
Do you exfoliate?
Yes, I exfoliate two-three times a week in the mornings.
What brand do you use?
For everything in my skincare routine, I use products from Neutrogena and Clean and Clear and The Body Shop, as well as Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter.
Do you have freckles?
Nope.
Do you use eye cream?
Nope. However, I do use facial oils and serums from The Body Shop, along with Shea Moisture's Raw Shea Butter, that I also make sure to apply under and around the eyes to brighten up the under eye area and keep my skin glowing and moisturized throughout the day.
Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
Nope, so bless up to my parents for their genes and my mom for stressing the importance of skin care, great hygiene and so forth.
Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
Nope.

Makeup

What foundation do you use?
I currently use the Maybelline Fit Me foundation.
How about concealer?
For concealer, I use the NYX full coverage concealer in caramel.
Do you know your undertone color?
Yeah, I have a warm undertone, which would mean like yellow, peachy or golden undertone colors.
What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I love how some of them can really open up your eyes and bring a whole look together. So, it's a yes to the fake lashes that look long, cute and fluttery that open up the eyes and a big no to the fake lashes that look like chunky bushes weighing your eyes down.
Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
Lmao nope, but I do now.
What brand of mascara do you use?
I use and love the Too Faced Cosmetics BTS mascara.
Sephora or MAC?
Is that even a question? Sephora.
Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
Nope.
What makeup tools do you use in your make-up application?
The basic brushes for eyeshadow and highlight, an eyebrow brush, as well as a beauty blender to blend concealer and foundation.
Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
For the eyes, I like to use the NYX eyeshadow primer.
For the face?
I love using a light moisturizer before applying anything makeup-wise. I start by applying a light amount of the Vitamin E moisture cream and then apply the Vitamin C Glow-Boosting Moisturizer from The Body Shop.
What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
I love the matte and shimmer eyeshadow palettes from e.l.f. and NYX. I adore any neutral, gold and pink shades for the eyes.
Do you use a pencil or liquid eyeliner?
I switch it up between both when I feel like making a wing.
How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Not often, but then again I don't really like the look on me when it comes to lining my eyes with dark eyeliner because I think it makes my eyes look smaller. I like the look of brighter and bigger eyes, so I do without the eyeliner for the most part.
What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I love them, they can really help enhance a dramatic eye look, if that's what you're going for.
Do you use mineral makeup?
I haven't really differentiated it from "regular" liquid makeup products because I just thought that technically most makeup would be considered "mineral" makeup because of the fact that they are made of the same elements.
What's your favorite lipstick?
Even though it's more of a fall/winter shade...currently, I'm using and loving the NYX extra creamy lipstick in Black Cherry.
How about lipgloss?
As for lipgloss, I use and love the Mentha Lip Tint in various shades.
What is your favorite blush to use?
I don't really use blush which may be weird and all...but I like the look of "Glowy and Dewy" skin, so the e.l.f. highlight and NYX 'Born to Glow' Liquid Illuminator are my absolute go-to.
Do you buy your makeup on eBay?
Nope. I don't really trust purchasing things like makeup and skincare stuff from there because stuff could end up being dupes and what-not. I like to shop from places like NYX, Ulta, e.l.f. and Sephora for my makeup products.
Do you like drugstore makeup?
Yeessss. NYX and e.l.f. are technically in that category to me because they are good quality makeup products for such reasonable prices.
Do you go to CCO's (cosmetic company outlets)?
No, have never been to one.
Did you ever consider taking makeup classes?
No, I'm not particularly serious about makeup to take classes. It's something I just learned to apply to my liking over time and eventually got a bit better at doing through switching up some things and constant repetition of certain looks.
Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
Not really, because I've applied it for awhile now...but I still haven't mastered applying perfect winged liner.
Name a makeup crime that you hate?
Oooohhh girrrrrlll. I'm going to name two because it's just something that needs to be addressed. 1) A really dark eyeshadow look and dark or red lipstick to go with it? It shouldn't be happening because it isn't cute. Pick one or the other, if you want to focus on the eyes, then make the eyes dramatic and keep the lips a nude or light pink shade. If you want to focus on a bold lip, the eyeshadow should remain neutral and light. 2) Eyeshadow shouldn't be applied with no smooth transition going on. Blend...blend...blend.
Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
In terms of eyeshadow, I love matte and shimmer looks in neutral and pink shades. As for lipstick, I like a mixture of both, I really like red and berry shades as well as some neutral ones.
Which celebrity always has great makeup?
Rihanna, Carli Bybel, and Selena Gomez, hands-down to me always have the best makeup looks.
If you could leave the house using just ONE makeup item, what would you use?
An eyebrow duo pencil all the freaking way.
Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Totally, I've done so many times before. I don't wear much anyways, I just use a few products to create a simple "glowy and dewy" makeup look.
Do you think you look good even without makeup on?
I mean....yeah. I don't really have a problem with how I look without make on.
In your opinion what is the BEST makeup line?
I really can't pick just one...it's in between NYX, Benefit Cosmetics, and Too Faced Cosmetics.
What do you think of Makeup?
I think it's pretty cool,  and it's honestly like an art. You could go simple or go dramatic and completely transform into a totally different person. I mean, we've all seen the girls that could look thirteen without makeup on, and all of a sudden manage to look 20 with makeup on. In general, makeup also helps enhance facial features when applied properly.

Hope you enjoyed this tag, now comment down below your thoughts on this question...if you could leave the house using only three makeup products what would you use?

Thanks so much for reading loves! Until next time for more in lifestyle. xx
