Four ways to relax your mind


Stress is a normal aspect of everyday life. These are some fun and easy ways to relieve stress and relax your mind. 

1) Do something creative


A great way to relax your mind is to get creative. Creativity allows your brain to escape from the stresses of daily life for a moment and focus on one thing. So, picking up a creative hobby that you can take on daily (for a few minutes to however long) is a great way to stay creative, inspired and stress-free. 

Look at life through a lens and try out photography. You can capture different little moments from your life and create a visual journal. Drawing is another option, just get yourself a sketchbook and sketch anything that comes to mind for a few minutes daily. Alternatively, you can always start painting which is a great way to boost your mood. 

2) Get your life together


I don't know about you, but I always find I'm most stressed when I have a million things on my mind. The best way to combat this feeling is through managing your time and getting organized. 

Start off your day by making a written list of the things that you need to complete at specific times throughout the day. This will relax your mind and help keep you organized because everything that was on your mind is now visually planned out.

Also, try to tackle the harder things on your to-dos first. So, that now you have gotten the more stressful work done and out of the way.  

3) Get your daily dose of Potassium


Eat a banana or any Potassium-rich snack to get your daily dose of Potassium. Potassium is a known mineral to regulate blood pressure. Healthy levels of Potassium within your system help reduce stress and anxiety. 

4) Listen to music and write creatively


Listening to any genre of music you love is known to boost endorphins in your brain. Endorphins are the "feel-good" chemicals in your brain and this helps to keep you relaxed and happy. So, create a playlist of your favorite songs and listen to this playlist whenever you're feeling stressed.

Write what's on your mind whether it's your feelings or dreams. It's an engaging way to clear your mind and get creative with your writing. Writing often can help you develop a writing style and writing creatively can help you with stress. Keeping a journal of your dreams, feelings, or daily activities is a fun way to clear your mind and have something to read and reflect on later.
