How to Brighten Up Your Winter Wardrobe

When we think of a winter color palette, it tends to consist of a lot of neutrals. So, this winter I want you to try and add a splash of color to your winter wardrobe! Adding a bright colored clothing piece or one with prints to your winter look is such a delicate way to brighten up your winter looks. In the midst of your neutral winter look, great colors to reach for would be a mustard yellow, cool tones, lavender, pink and pastels.

The key to winter style is layering, and in doing so, incorporating yellow, red, pastel, or cool tones into your winter looks can also make a delicate statement that brings your whole look together.

The layered red plaid set below is a part of the Material Girl by Macys latest holiday collection, and I honestly live for how this instantly elevates my entire look. Everything from the bold red and the checked print in the set add a statement that was needed to what was originally just an all-black outfit. There are so many different ways you can style neutrals and colors when it comes to your winter looks. Every now and then, try to add a bold pop of color to your neutral winter look. Adding a printed clothing piece is the perfect way to elevate any winter look and switch it up from the neutrals.
