New York Fashion Week: ROMEO HUNTE Spring 19 Collection

New York Fashion Week kicked off this July showcasing ready-to-wear men's collections by many talented designers. And I'm so incredibly excited to have been invited to Romeo Hunte's Spring 19 Fashion Week Show and share my take on it.

This fashion week, Romeo Hunte showcased (what I found out to be) one of his first Men's Ready-to-Wear collections, one of which was very much inspired by urban streetwear style. His aesthetic was so amazing to see on the runway from the modern silhouettes to the juxtaposing elements within each look featured in the collection.

The collection heavily inspired by the Brooklyn street style scene consisted of overcoats, mixed-media jackets, and wetsuits. I for one was a huge fan of some of the oversized statement overcoats within his collection. The oversized overcoats were such creative and bold statements on the runway because of the bold color palette and mixed design elements. Various bold statements were incorporated in each look through pops of red, blue, yellow, and orange hues. All in all, I really liked how he was able to execute his collection in a way that stayed true to his signature aesthetic and still showcased his inspirations completely.

Inspired by the vibe of his collection and urban streetwear style, I also pulled together some fashion picks just for you!

Urban streetwear style is more of the relaxed and unique styles seen on your very city streets. So, the pieces I've selected above are on-trend selections inspired by streetwear and vintage style.

And...that was my take on the Romeo Hunte show. Hope you like the fashion picks handpicked just for you inspired by the vision Romeo Hunte had behind his collection and urban streetwear style. What was your favorite (or least favorite!) piece in the collection? Let your girl know, in the comments below!

Thanks so much for reading loves! Until next time for more in fashion.
